CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable CCTV Technician to install, configure, maintain, and repair surveillance systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You will work on-site with customers, so good technical skills and a professional attitude are both essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Install CCTV cameras (analog, IP, PTZ, dome, bullet), DVRs, NVRs, and related equipment
• Lay and terminate cables (coaxial, CAT6, power), including conduit and concealed wiring
• Configure recording, motion detection, remote/mobile viewing, and user access
• Set up network settings such as IP addressing, port forwarding, and router connections
• Diagnose and fix faults such as no video, camera offline, hard disk failure, and power issues
• Carry out routine maintenance visits and system health checks
• Replace or upgrade faulty cameras, hard drives, power supplies, and connectors
• Test the system after installation and train customers on basic use
• Keep records of installations, service visits, and materials used
• Follow safety practices, especially when working at heights

Required Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or IT (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1-3 years of experience installing and servicing CCTV systems
• Knowledge of brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, or similar
• Understanding of basic networking (IP, LAN, router settings)
• Skill with hand and power tools, crimping tools, and testers
• Ability to read basic wiring and layout diagrams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with biometric, access control, or video door phone systems
• Knowledge of cloud/P2P camera setup and mobile app configuration
• Basic soldering and troubleshooting of power supplies
• Own two-wheeler and valid driving license
