CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated CCTV Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance systems and related ELV systems at client sites across India. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with IP cameras, network cabling, NVRs/DVRs, and basic networking concepts. Candidates must be willing to travel for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems.
• Install and configure IP cameras, PTZ cameras, NVRs, DVRs, video encoders, and related equipment.
• Perform structured cabling using Cat6, fiber optic, and power cables.
• Terminate RJ45 connectors, patch panels, and fiber optic connections.
• Configure camera IP addresses, recording settings, and network parameters.
• Test camera functionality, recording, live view, playback, and remote access.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, power, and network-related issues.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and attend service calls.
• Read and execute work as per layout drawings and cable routing plans.
• Prepare installation reports, service reports, and commissioning checklists.
• Coordinate with project engineers and clients during installation and handover.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use proper PPE while working.

Required Skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
• Good understanding of IP networking and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of PoE switches, routers, and network switches.
• Experience in Cat6 cable laying, termination, and testing.
• Basic knowledge of fiber optic cable handling is preferred.
• Familiarity with VMS platforms is an advantage.
• Ability to use testing tools such as LAN tester, a multimeter, and basic networking tools.
• Ability to work independently at client sites.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent).
• 1–5 years of experience in CCTV/ELV installation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel across India.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license is preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Based on experience and skills)
